Historically a popular summer beach on the Russian River, the District purchased the beach area and gave it to Regional Parks so that it could remain in the public domain forever. The District was then fortunate to acquire an easement over 69 acres of agricultural production and a three-acre site in fee, adjacent to the Beach for Regional Parks to create a safe parking area for the public who now can continue to enjoy the river at this location.
