Highly visible from Gravenstein Highway, between Forestville and Graton, the District assisted in protecting this property with many partners. The Marsh wetlands have been recognized for many years for their unique physical habitat characteristics and significant botanical attributes. The Marsh is also home to the last known population of the endangered white sedge. The Sonoma Land Trust will own and carry out restoration and management activities to protect this distinctive habitat area and The Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District will hold a perpetual natural resource conservation easement over it.
